Site clearance and compensation for key projects accelerated

On the afternoon of April 10, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the belt road 4 project and the Ho Chi Minh city - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project. The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant departments, agencies and localities affected by the projects.

During the session, local leaders reported on the progress of land measurement, asset inventory, valuation and preparation for compensation approval. They also discussed the public posting of land prices and the plans for compensation and site clearance implementation. It is expected that compensation work will begin after May 20.

After hearing the reports, Mr. Minh requested all districts and cities involved in the two projects to strengthen their local steering committees, conduct weekly coordination meetings and mobilize resources with a clear focus on ensuring timely and effective implementation.

Provincial People’s Committee Chairman emphasized the need for localities to expedite the work by directing relevant departments to actively engage while closely coordinating with provincial Land Fund Development Center to promptly address obstacles. This, he noted, is essential to accelerating the progress of compensation and land clearance for these major infrastructure projects.
