Regulations for coordination on environmental protection in IPs inked

On the afternoon of April 11, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over a conference to formalize a coordination regulation regarding environmental protection in industrial parks (IPs) in Binh Duong. The conference was attended by representatives from various departments, branches, districts, cities, and enterprises involved in IP infrastructure investment.

The coordination regulations encompass the following elements: direction coordination, information exchange, legal dissemination, environmental inspection and oversight, violation management, response to environmental incidents, and the transformation of industrial park models. The parties have agreed to conduct a periodic review in the second quarter and a summary in the fourth quarter of each year to assess the effectiveness of coordination and to make timely adjustments to the implementation content.

During the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Tri emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable industrial development in conjunction with environmental protection. He urged the Binh Duong Industrial Park Management Board and infrastructure investment companies to effectively implement the recently signed coordination regulations. Specifically, he highlighted the need for widespread dissemination of information to all officials, workers, and employees, as well as the enhancement of legal awareness, inspection processes, post-inspection evaluations, and the capacity to meet international environmental standards.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also urged the parties to collaborate effectively in attracting investment aligned with the principles of green, smart development, and high-tech application. Notably, there is a need to emphasize the transformation of traditional industrial park models into ecological industrial parks to meet contemporary sustainable development demands.
