Preparing for regular mid-year meeting of provincial People's Council to ensure quality, compliance with the law and closeness to reality

On May 20, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a joint conference to agree on the content, program, and time of the regular mid-year meeting of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026; and at the same time agreed on the plan to organize meetings with voters according to regulations. The conference was chaired by Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Phan Hong An, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

The regular mid-year meeting is scheduled to take place over two days, from July 10 to 11, 2025. During this meeting, attendees will review and make decisions on several important matters, including 25 reports, 1 notice, 5 inspection reports, 18 submissions, and draft resolutions. To ensure a productive session, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has coordinated with Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, as well as Standing Committees of People's Councils of districts and cities. They will organize meetings for provincial and district People's Council delegates to engage with voters from June 9 to 13, 2025. Collecting the opinions, thoughts, and aspirations of voters will serve as the foundation for refining the content presented at the meeting.

During the conference, after reviewing the draft meeting plan, the delegates generally agreed with the proposed agenda. They focused on analyzing the urgency and legal basis of the resolutions expected to be issued. All feedback aimed to ensure the resolutions are feasible and relevant to the actual circumstances of the locality.

In his remarks at the conference, Mr. Vo Van Minh expressed his agreement with the meeting agenda and urged the Provincial People's Committee Office, along with relevant departments and branches, to proactively and closely collaborate in preparing the meeting content. To enhance the quality of the session, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc requested that the Provincial People's Committee direct specialized agencies to fully and promptly prepare the necessary reports, submissions, and related documents, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. He also emphasized that Provincial People's Council committees should proactively review the content within their assigned areas, and that groups of People's Council delegates need to work efficiently with agencies and units to organize voter meetings on time and in accordance with the law.
