Phu Giao launches Action Month for Children
Early May 21, Phu Giao district’s Steering Committee for Youth and Children’s Activities held the summer opening ceremony and launched the Action Month for Children under the theme of “Prioritizing Resources to Achieve Goals for Children”, along with the kickoff of the 2025 Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign in An Linh commune.

During the program, the organizers presented 600 gifts to students with particularly difficult circumstances. The district’s People's Committee awarded 30 gifts to children of disadvantaged young workers. Provincial Youth Union and Young Pioneer Organization donated a “Children’s Playground” project worth VND 40 million in An Linh commune. The Youth Union branch of provincial Department of Construction awarded two “Adopted by the Youth Union” scholarships to underprivileged children, with the support level of VND 500,000 per child per month for 12 months.
In addition, the Youth Union branches of the Customs Sub-Department of the Region XVI, Management Board of provincial Industrial Parks, General Hospital, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Tax Office Region XVI and Hong Tin Construction - Trading - Service Co., Ltd. contributed 14 solar-powered lights and 7 study desks to support disadvantaged families and children, with a total value of VND 24 million…
At the event, Phu Giao district’s Youth Union established the Steering Board for the district's Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign, officially launched the campaign and introduced volunteer teams, namely “Green Summer”, “Red Flamboyant”, “Pink Holiday”, “Green March”, “Exam Support”, “Digital Literacy for All”, “Free Swimming Lessons for Disadvantaged Children”.
During the campaign, the district’s Youth Union and Youth Federation aim at implementing the slogan of “Each Youth Union and Youth Federation branch must carry out at least one quality youth project” and “Each Youth Union member must undertake at least two meaningful, practical tasks”.
After the opening ceremony, a parade was held to promote the Action Month for Children, followed by the Phu Giao Children's Festival, featuring the “Colorful Childhood” drawing contest and mobile summer playground activities.
