Foreign affairs work obtains outstanding results
Early January 6, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference to review the foreign affairs sector's work in 2024, set orientations and tasks for 2025 in Hanoi, in attendance of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The conference was held both in-person and online, with participation from the People's Committees of provinces and cities across the country. Attending the Binh Duong online venue was Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Member of provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
At the conference, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the results of the foreign affairs sector’s work in 2024. Notably, foreign affairs in 2024 achieved many outstanding results. In Binh Duong, recently, the province has proactively coordinated and implemented the three pillars of local diplomacy, including Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy. The province has also intensified economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, expanded bilateral and multilateral cooperation, been proactive in international integration.
The efforts in economic diplomacy have made positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province. As of December 15, 2024, the province had 4,390 investment projects from 65 countries and territories, with total registered capital of US$ 42.4 billion.
