Binh Duong needs uniform preparation to accompany the nation in a new era, says Secretary General To Lam

Speaking during a visit and working session at Binh Duong provincial Military Command yesterday morning of January 5, Secretary General To Lam emphasized that in the coming time, promoting the achieved results, Binh Duong province needs to fully prepare to enter the new era with the whole country. At the same time, the Party Committee, authority and armed forces of the province should maintain the foundation as solid premises for the development of science and technology, digital transformation, ecological industry, and maintaining national defense and security.

Stability assured to developmental investments

Yesterday morning of January 5, Secretary General of the Central Committee of CPV, Secretary of the Central Military Commission To Lam and the Central working delegation visited and worked at the provincial Military Command. Reporting to the General Secretary and the working delegation, Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh said that in 2024, the province's socio-economic development targets all met and exceeded the set targets, with the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) increasing by 7.48%; total state budget revenue reaching VND 75,657 billion; per capita income over VND 181 million. The socio-political situation was stable, national defense and security were strengthened, and social security policies were carefully implemented.

The provincial armed forces have thoroughly grasped the viewpoints, policies, and guidelines of the Party, the policies and laws of the State, the directives and resolutions of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee, and the Military Region 7 Command; promptly proposed policies and solutions to lead and direct the effective implementation of military and defense tasks, combining national defense and security with the economy; between the economy and national defense and security; proactively grasped the local situation, advised the provincial Party Committee and the provincial People's Committee, and closely coordinated with the police and functional agencies to effectively handle situations; maintained political security, social order and safety, created a stable environment for investment in socio-economic development and improved people's lives. The provincial Party Committee and Military Command have focused on leading and directing the building of an all-people national defense, an all-people national defense posture associated with a people's security posture, and the construction of an increasingly solid provincial defense zone; build and implement many models and projects on local defense and militia and self-defense, such as: "Building a strong and comprehensive armed force right from the grassroots level", "Building a standing militia at the commune, district and provincial levels", "A standing militia platoon operating in industrial zones", "Building a core political force of reserve soldiers working in companies and factories in the province", "Building a self-defense force in foreign-invested enterprises and enterprises without a Party organization" etc. 100% of cadres and soldiers have political mettle, a firm ideological stance, are assured of their work, and are ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well. The provincial Party Committee and Military Command have focused on building strong and clean Party organizations; innovating political education and propaganda work; building a contingent of cadres to ensure quantity and quality; effectively implement the models of “5 good Party cells, 5 good Party members”, “Cadres and Party members guiding the masses and subordinates”, “5 proactiveness in ideological work”, “3-best units”. Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh affirmed: “In any circumstance, the provincial armed forces are always absolutely loyal, trust in the leadership of the Party, constantly improve their qualifications and combat readiness, closely coordinate with other forces to excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to creating a solid foundation for the breakthrough stage of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern army, firmly protecting the Fatherland, maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for the country to enter a new era of development, an era of the rising Vietnamese.”

Ready as a companion

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary General To Lam highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee, government and armed forces of the province in socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security and taking care of people's lives. The Secretary General emphasized that the armed forces of Binh Duong province have thoroughly grasped the viewpoints, policies and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State, directives and resolutions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense; innovated leadership style, daring to think, daring to speak, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, daring to innovate, be creative, daring to face difficulties and challenges; daring to act for the common good. Thereon, there have been many creative models and good practices in building a comprehensively strong, "exemplary, typical" provincial armed forces, worthy of being a loyal and trustworthy political army of the Party Committee, authority and people of the province.

Secretary General To Lam: “I believe that with its glorious tradition and high spirit of solidarity and responsibility, under the regular leadership and direction of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission and the provincial leaders, the armed forces of Binh Duong province will, in the coming time,  excellently complete the assigned tasks, contributing together with Binh Duong province to successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, bringing Binh Duong to rapid, sustainable and comprehensive development and the people to have an increasingly prosperous, joyful, happy and safe life.”

The Secretary General requested the provincial armed forces to continue to thoroughly grasp the strategy of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, building a strong national defense, building a national defense posture associated with the people's security posture and increasingly solid defense areas; improve the quality of training, combat readiness, maintain security and order, create the most favorable conditions for socio-economic development, protect the peaceful life of the people.
