2025 summer youth volunteer campaign strongly spreading youthful spirit

The 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign closely associates with the theme of the year: “Proud and confident in following the Party”. The campaign aims at creating an environment where the spirit of youth volunteerism and proactivity can flourish, contributing to socio-economic development.

Taking the lead

For the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign bringing meaningful projects and strongly spreading the spirit of youth, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has identified key targets and committed to fulfilling them with enthusiasm, creativity, responsibility, solidarity and success. Specifically, the campaign aims at mobilizing 160,000 Youth Union members to participate in volunteer activities organized by the Youth Union and Youth Associations; supporting the demolition of at least 20 substandard houses for national contributors, people under national target programs and disadvantaged households; planting at least 100,000 new trees; repairing at least 30 kilometers and constructing at least 5 kilometers of rural roads.

Recognizing that today’s youth are living in the era of comprehensive digital transformation, green growth, innovation and deep international integration, provincial Youth Union has directed each commune, ward and town to establish at least one "Digital Literacy Volunteer Team”. Accordingly, local Youth Unions will strive to enhance digital skills for at least 100,000 young people and residents. Additionally, startup training will be provided for youth; 35 youth-led innovative startup projects will receive support and 50 free swimming classes will be organized for children. Furthermore, the campaign targets the implementation of at least 50 youth-led projects and initiatives, prioritizing practical and impactful efforts that align with the locality's socio-economic development goals while emphasizing the identification and introduction of outstanding Youth Union members and volunteers for consideration in Party admission.

During the campaign, young people must take the lead, serving as the core force reaching out to remote, mountainous, border, island and disadvantaged areas to participate in volunteer activities for the community. Accordingly, provincial Youth Union has organized programs directed towards border areas, islands and underprivileged regions in and out of the province such as Phu Quy Island in Binh Thuan province and Con Co Island in Quang Tri province. These activities aim at further extending the reach of Binh Duong youth's volunteer efforts to wherever the Fatherland needs them most…

Volunteering at the forefront

Youth Union branches stay closely connected to reality, actively listening to the concerns of local people and young individuals so that each summer volunteer activity is not merely a movement, but a practical solution to real-life social issues. Therefore, implementing the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is not only a responsibility of the Youth Union, but also a valuable opportunity for young people to demonstrate their role in the journey of innovation and development.

In Phu Giao district’s An Long commune, the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign kicked off with the “Green March” campaign. During this campaign, Youth Union members and armed forces participated in cleaning, collecting waste, planting flowers and tidying up the local memorial monument and cultural spaces. The “Green March” is a central activity of the summer volunteer campaign, promoting the proactive and volunteer spirit of young people.

In addition, the commune’s Youth Union carried out the project of “Lighting Up Rural Roads” and launched the “Pink Holiday” Volunteer Campaign to raise awareness and guide residents on digital literacy in response to the “Digital Literacy for All” movement. Specifically, the local youth volunteer team assisted residents with installing and using digital signatures, the Binh Duong Smart App, online public services and cashless payment methods at the offices of hamlets throughout the commune.

Each project and task is not only a contribution for today, but also a seed for the future. With the dynamism and creativity of youth, this year’s Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will provide an environment that inspires a strong sense of responsibility, enabling Binh Duong’s young people to train themselves, gain valuable experience and directly participate in key innovation programs of the province and the nation.
